Benjamin Nathan

Biography

Benjamin Nathan is the Associate Director of Security and Identity Management in the Information Technologies and Services Department at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) in New York City. Ben and his team work to identify, correlate, and respond to security incidents on the WCMC network using a variety of tools, including Arbor Peakflow X, Sourcefire Intrusion Detection, Tripwire, PGP Encryption, and Arcsight ESM. Ben is also responsible for policy creation, security compliance (including HIPAA), forensics, incident response, and IT risk management. Ben previously served as the Security Compliance Manager for WCMC and as a Senior Server and Application Manager. Ben is currently in pursuit of his Master's degree in Technology Management at Columbia University.
