Biography
Brian Hoyt is Director of Technology Integration in Information Services and Resources (ISR), a merged IT/library organization at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. In this position, he serves as the campuss CTO and oversees the campuss technology integration efforts, serves on the organizations leadership team, and plays a leading role in ISRs strategic planning efforts. His responsibilities include Bucknells core IT infrastructure, administrative databases, web development activities, network and telecommunication services as well as support for the campuss learning spaces and instructional technology. Brian began his IT career in Bucknells College of Engineering where he was responsible for building the colleges first electronic classroom and courseware development studio and most recently spearheaded the development of the colleges collaborative learning studios. Before assuming his current role in ISR, Brian served as the Project Director for Project Catalyst at Bucknella multi-year NSF-funded initiative to improve engineering education through the application of instructional design theory, collaborative learning and information technology to produce systemic change in engineering education. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Education from Bucknell, as well as a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University (PA) and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell.EDUCAUSE Presentations
