David Greenbaum

Biography

David A. Greenbaum is Director of the Data Services Department in the Information Services and Technology Division at UC Berkeley. He is also Director of the campus's Open Knowledge and the Public Interest Project (OKAPI), and a co-Director of newly formed Project Bamboo. As Director of IST-Data Services, he focuses on the development of shared data and collaborative services for Berkeley faculty, administrative leaders, staff, and students. As a leader of OKAPI, he support the campus's efforts to use digital technologies for public scholarship, open content, and the civic engagement of key public communities, such as K-12 educators. As Co-Director of the Bamboo Planning Program, he is working to build a new international consortium of universities, colleges, and organizations who, by working together, can develop cyberinfrastructure to advance research in the arts, humanities, and humanistic social sciences. He lives in Berkeley, California with his wife and son.
