Biography

David Stevens is an innovative and strategic web professional with 20+ years of experience leading and delivering web, mobile, media, and technology solutions for colleges, universities, and small businesses. Recognized for a record of innovation, aligned with institutional and business goals, delivering key components of digital strategy and transformation; David is a passionate and creative professional who thrives on opportunities to design and architect clean, immersive, and functional web, mobile, and media solutions.

David is currently the Director of Web Services at Lehman College, City University of New York, where he has progressed to increasingly higher levels of responsibility providing leadership and strategic direction on the design and development of the college’s public website, mobile application, intranet portal, event management system, enterprise web content management system, and web and mobile initiatives for community partners and small businesses. David is a digital strategy thought leader with a record of delivering integrated web and technology solutions, aligned with institutional and organizational goals, by galvanizing support for and streamlining the tools and applications that comprise the college's web publishing and communication ecosystem. At Lehman, David has also taught Web Development courses for the Continuing Education & Professional Studies department.

Previously, David was the lead Application Designer for the industry leading online veterinary portal, VetConnect, Inc., where he designed and developed web interfaces for the company's public website and private intranet sites. He also had the dual role of Instructional Designer and Lead Front-end Designer/Developer at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN. While at Metropolitan State, David trained faculty on the delivery of fully online and web-assisted courses using the Learning Management Systems, Desire2Learn and WebCT. David's team also designed multimedia software for use in online courses. Additionally, he served as the lead Designer and Front-end Developer for the college's public website. While at Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC), David was in charge of "The Learning Resource Center Technology Lab", where he delivered faculty and staff training, and designed multimedia software for use as course supplements and for the college's public website. David was subsequently promoted to college Webmaster at MCTC, prior to moving on to his position at VetConnect, Inc.
