Free and Open Source Options for Creating Database-Driven Subject Guides
This article reviews available cost-effective options libraries have for updating and maintaining pathfinders such as subject guides and course pages.
Edward M. Corrado is Associate University Librarian at the Naval Postgraduate School. From May 2018 thru March 2019 he was the Acting University Librarian. He is an experienced librarian, administrator, and information technologist. His research interests include digital preservation, data management, cloud computing, and reproducibility of library and information science research. He is the co-author of Digital Preservation for Libraries, Archives, and Museums, which is now in its second edition. Prior to joining the Naval Postgraduate School he was the Associate Dean of Library Technology Planning and Policy and Interim Dean of Special Collections at the University of Alabama. He was also the Director of Library Technology at Binghamton University. He has a Masters of Library Service from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Caldwell University.
