Biography

Ian Crew the Architect for the Communication and Collaboration Services ("bConnected") group at the University of California Berkeley, specializing in SaaS tools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction with Ergonomics from University College London. Ian has held several IT positions at UC Berkeley over the past 20+ years, with a consistent focus on delivering easy to use IT solutions. His current position focuses on designing solutions to meet campus needs in the content and collaboration space, using tools including Google Workspace, Zoom, Box, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Ian is the current lead for the Google Workspace Higher Education Customer Advisorty Board, working in partnership with Google and members of the higher education community to advocate for improvements to Google's Workspace offering to better meet the needs of the higer ed community.
