Biography
Dr. Galvin is the Director of Strategic Relationships and Technical Standards at Afilias. Afilias is the registry services provider for PIR, which is the registry for the .ORG top level domain. Dr. Galvin is the senior technologist working with PIR to deploy DNSSEC in .ORG, the largest and first gTLD to deploy DNSSEC. He has been involved in DNSSEC activities since its inception, having chaired the first working group that produced the first sets of specifications and managing the research group the produced the first public domain implementation of those specifications.
