Jason Casden

Biography

Jason Casden is the Lead Librarian for the Digital Services Development group at the North Carolina State University Libraries, where he develops and implements scalable digital library applications. He is the technical lead for the mobile application "WolfWalk," a geo-enhanced guide to the history of NCSU. Jason is also the project and development lead for NCSU Libraries' open-source "Suma" project, a tablet-based physical space and service usage assessment toolkit. In addition to his recent mobile services work, he is involved in other award-winning projects designed to help the NCSU community access library resources and services in new ways. Jason was named a 2011 Library Journal "Mover & Shaker" and enjoys participating in discussions about future opportunities to use technology to bridge gaps in the academic lives of students and researchers.
