Teaching and Learning with E-Readers: A Case Study at CLU

Biography
As Associate Provost for Information Services at California Lutheran University, Julius Bianchi manages a merged Library and IT organization. Other duties include Library and IT strategic planning and budgeting. Julius serves on the campus technology advisory committee, the university strategic planning and budget committees, the campus assessment committee, campus sustainability committee, on-line task force, and the TLC (Teaching and Learning Committee). He served as the chair of Link, a committee that deals with administrative issues and concerns at CLU, for five years. He has a B.S. And MPA from Indiana University and is a Frye Fellow. Julius has served on the Educause West planning committee and the New Media Consortium New Horizon board. Julius has presented at regional and national conferences. Current projects include implementation of a new campus LMS, integrating mobile devices and tools into the teaching and learning environment, and using e-readers to engage students in reading and writing.EDUCAUSE Publications
