Karen Leach

Biography

Karen Leach is the Vice President, Administration and Finance at Hamilton College. Her duties include management and development of strategic vision for budget, business and purchasing services, investment functions, facilities, human resources, and environmental health and safety. Prior to working at Hamilton she was at Colgate University for sixteen years where she was first Associate Provost and then Chief Information Officer with oversight all information technology functions. Prior to Colgate, Karen worked for Bristol Myers where she performed efficiency studies in quality control operations in Syracuse, New York and Puerto Rico. While Karen was at Colgate, she collaborated with David Smallen, Vice President of Information Technology at Hamilton to start the COSTS project, an international project to collect and analyze technology spending at colleges and universities. Karen has a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.
