Lisa Caughron

Biography

Lisa Caughron is the IT Services Coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois where she manages the university's Help Desk as well as the Service & Repair division for personally owned computers. Lisa has worked at Illinois Wesleyan University since 1989 and in the Information Technology department since 1996. She has supervised students in various roles and degrees her entire career at Illinois Wesleyan. Lisa's student supervisory experience has grown both in numbers and methodology over the last several years. Her beliefs and practice of developing students and student teams has increased the level of service, effectiveness and long-term reliability of student support at Illinois Wesleyan. Lisa's passion for developing students and student teams is evidenced by the content of her poster session given at the EDUCAUSE Midwest Regional Conference in March 2007, a Good Ideas publication in EDUCAUSE Quarterly, Vol. 30, No. 4, October-December 2007 entitled "Maximizing Student Teams to Support IT," other conference and informal sessions/discussions and publications.
