Michael Anderson

Biography

Michael Anderson is the Director of Online Lernring at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He leads the client teams which manages the instiution's LMS, offers faculty development workshops in emerging Web technologies used in learning, and provides instructional design for hybird and online courses. Formerly, he was the Senior Business/Technology Analyst with the Petroleum Extension Service at the University of Texas at Austin where he managed the delivery systems (LMS, SIS, etc.) for PETEX digital products and worked with the instructional design of eLearning products from eBooks to online courses, and from video on demand to professional development webinars. Prior to PETEX, Michael created the Course Development and Technology team at the UT System TeleCampus which developed more than 500 fully-online graduate and undergraduate courses and provided the centralized technology infrastructure, faculty development, and project oversight for online instructional design and development. The Course Development and Technology team received national recognition from Computer World for the XML-driven case-based medical; simulations and from WCET for the TRACK program which provided free diagnostic tests and tutorials to more than 450,000 11th grade students.
