Patricia Baia

Biography

Dr. Baia specializes in curriculum development, instructional technology adoption, pedagogy, professional development, and communication. She is the founder of the Capital District Educational Technology Group, a Board of Trustee Member of the Capital District Library Consortium, and a member of the Schenectady County Community College instructional technology/library advisory board. Previously, Dr. Baia was employed as Albany Law School's instructional technologist (2001-2006) where she analyzed, designed, developed, implemented, and evaluated effective learning environments and strategies. In addition, she has worked with the Professional Development Program of Rockefeller College (1997-2001) to implement proprietary software and hardware to state agencies. Her role began there as a senior technical writer on many projects. She continues to consult to local hospitals and other educational institutions on the best use of educational technology and training. Her primary interest is matching the best options to stakeholders when dealing with technology adoption and change.
