Paul Schopis

Biography

Paul Schopis is Chief Technology Officer of The Ohio Academic Resources Network (OARnet). He led the team that designed and built the OARnet dark fiber network and oversees the operation of the network. He also is leading the OARnet Shared Infrastructure project which is a private cloud environment supporting the University System of Ohio (USO). Paul pursues research interests as well. He is active in several Internet2 and CIC committees and frequently is a speaker at workshops and meetings. He is the immediate past chair of the NTAC and currently serves on the AOAC. He is active in the Quilt, serving on executive committee and is a past chair of the executive committee.
