Ren Whitaker

Biography

Ren Whitaker has worked in Learning & Development for the past 20 years. She began her career in the corporate environment, working for Kinko's/FedExpress. In 2002, Ren left to start her own learning & development consultancy, where she partnered with other Fortune 500 and 1000 companies to address learning needs and improve performance within each organization. She maintained her practice for nine years. In 2011, Ren joined Brown University as an Instructional Designer, working closely with faculty to develop online and blended courses for students from all over the world from pre-college to undergrads, to MBAs and experienced executives. Today, Ren serves as the Director of Online Development for the School of Professional Studies, leading a team of talented designers, media producers, and administrators to seek out new opportunities and develop meaningful and engaging online and blended learning courses and programs. Ren's mission is to use her experience as a consultant, in the corporate world, and in academia to help people to succeed in whatever challenges they wish to pursue.
