Rich Knepper

Biography

Rich Knepper has been the deputy director at Cornell University Center for Advanced Computing since summer of 2017, previously working at Indiana University's Pervasive Technology Institute as the Manager for Campus Bridging and Research Infrastructure.  Rich is also the manager for Community Resource Integration in the XSEDE project. Rich earned his PhD in Informatics at Indiana University and his research interests revolve around cyberinfrastructure organizations supporting science and public management network theory.

    In February 2009, a joint workshop of the EDUCAUSE Advanced Core Technologies Initiative Campus Cyberinfrastructure Working Group (ACTI-CCI) and the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation (CASC) issued a report and recommendations that addressed the challenges and strategies for developing a coherent cyberinfrastructure from local campus to national facilities.
