Biography

Sarah Cheverton is the State Authorization and Compliance Officer for Online Learning at James Madison University. She reports to the Associate Provost for Online Learning Strategy.

Sarah has been an administrative and instructional faculty member at James Madison University for 22 years. For much of that time, she has served in multiple leadership roles within a large instructional technology center, which provided instructional and technology support to faculty and students, and helped the academic community embrace emerging technologies. After serving as an Associate Dean for several years, she moved to Vice-Provost's Office of University Programs where she collaborates with others to strengthen institutional support for broader online and other distance learning initiatives. 

Sarah has a BA Degree in Sociology-Psychology and MA in Psychology with a concentration in Organizational Behavior. She teaches information systems courses for the Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics in JMU's College of Business.
