Tereza Melo de Brito Carvalho

Biography

Tereza Cristina Carvalho got her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering (1996) from Escola Politécnica University of São Paulo (EPUSP). She concluded her Sloan Fellows Program (2002) at MIT, Cambridge - USA. She is presently Special Project Assessor of CTI (Information Technology Coordination) and technical director of LARC (Laboratory of Computer Architecture and Networks) being responsible for the research and development of systems in IT (Information Technology), network communication, network management, security, IT Governance and sustainability in IT. She is Assistant Professor at EPUSP. She is former director of CCE-USP (Electronic Computing Center) 2006-2010. During the last years she received the following awards: InfoExame Personality in Technology (2005 and 2007), ABACO – Executive in IT (2006), Award Mário Covas – State of São Paulo - Honor Mention in Innovation (2008) and Full Award in Innovation (2009). She has more than 90 scientific and technology papers in peer reviewed journals and international conference proceedings.
