Bill Yock

Biography

Bill has extensive IT leadership experience in Higher Education. He previously led the Enterprise Information Services unit at the University of Washington responsible for database administration, data integration and quality assurance teams. Bill helped establish the UW's Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence program and is co-founder of the UW's Data Management Committee. He has served on national higher education boards including several years as Chair of the Kuali Rice Board of Directors and InCommon's Steering Committee. Bill's work in information security and identity management helped establish Internet2's Trusted Identities for Education and Research (TIER) initiative. Bill holds a M.B.A. from WGU Washington and a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa. He started his career as a Database Analyst in the Information Technology Services department at the University of Iowa. Bill is certified in ITIL Foundations, and ITIL Continual Service Improvement.  For the past several years Bill has served as a Chief Technology and Data Officer in county government and GovTech startups.  He participates in national collaborations focused on data analytics for social and equity impact.
