Biography

Anna Zendell is a social worker by training. She is currently a Senior Faculty Program Director at Excelsior University, overseeing masters degrees in the health sciences and public administration, as well as graduate certificates in nutrition and in public health equity. She also teaches regularly at the university. Her areas of interest are developing innovative and equitable teaching strategies for adult learners, promoting access to green space and physical activity, and supporting family caregivers of older adults and people with disabilities. She is active in her community on issues of elder supports, food insecurity, and access to physical activity opportunities. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, hiking, and all things to do with nature.
