Recently, Aaron has provided leadership for the UGA e-learning community by facilitating the launch of the Microsoft IT Academy in collaboration with UGA Training and Development. Serving the University of Georgia community in the role of Information Technology Professional Principal, Aaron provides expert knowledge in information technology training, Microsoft Active Directory, and Windows Group Policy management. Recently, he became a certified Microsoft Server Administrator (MCITPSA, June, 2010).
Aaron Lines manages all aspects of the operating system life cycle, hardware maintenance, end user training, wireless communication devices, and software distribution for the Office of Information Technology. He is a certified Project Management Professional, PMP, by the Project Management Institute (June, 2009) and encourages a planning process to meet organizational goals. Also, he is a certified Help Desk Professional, a certified Media Specialist by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and holds a Low Voltage-Unrestricted (LV-U) license with the State of Georgia for contracting in alarm services and computer data cabling.
Aaron earned an Associate's degree in Applied Technology from DeKalb Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Mercer University. He graduated with a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from UGA in December of 2006. Currently, Aaron is pursuing a PhD in Human Resources and Organizational Development at UGA.
Outside of work, he enjoys grilling out, UGA football, weight lifting, playing basketball, and spending time with his twins.
