Addy Meira

Biography

Adeline “Addy” Meira is a Doctoral Candidate majoring in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Technology at the Baylor University School of Education (Waco, TX). She works as a graduate assistant for the Baylor Online Teaching and Learning Services and is a Graduate Fellow at the Academy for Teaching and Learning. She has previously worked at the Baylor University Digital Media Studio Staff, the School of Education Media Center Staff, and as an Instructor for TED 3380 (Social Issues in Education), TED 1112 (Technology) lab, and EDC5370 (Technology Fundamentals). She is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is the former president of the Graduate Student Association (2010-12), former president of the Brazilian Student Association (BRASA), and is a representative at the Baylor University Teaching and Learning with Technology Committee. Addy has earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts – Graphic Design from Baylor University, a Masters degree in Science of Education from Baylor as well, and is expected to graduate from the Doctoral program in C&I sometime in 2012. Her interests are: Technology, Educational technology, Graphic Design/Art, Social Media, Typography, Social Issues in Education, Volleyball (and her cat Gato). Addy played volleyball for Baylor University from 2003-2006 and loves coaching volleyball. She has coached for Waco Juniors Volleyball Club, and have taught in several volleyball camps in Central Texas.
