Biography

Ahmar Abbas is the founder and CEO of XtremeLabs LLC, an educational technology software firm focussed on experiential learning.  Previously he served in leardership positions in IT Services firms.  Prior to that he was Vice President of Managed/Cloud Services at Blackboard Inc. Previously he was Founder and Managing Director of Grid Technology Partners, a technology market research firm. He has held senior management position at Ciena Corporation, Zaffire Inc, UUNet Technologies and Salomon Brothers. He is the author of Grid Computing: A Practical Guide to Technology and Applications, (Charles River Media, 2004) as well as editor of Experiential Learning (Daastan, 2022). Abbas has been frequently quoted in Business Week, Red Herring, CIO and other technology publications.
