Alan Katz

Biography

Alan Katz is Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration, College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He leads a team responsible for integrating the College's operational support services for finance, human resources and technical and facilities support. From 2008 to 2013 he served as the Director of Finance and Business Services for the University of Georgia’s central computing division. From 2006 to 2008, Alan was Associate Director of Athletics – Finance and Administration for Cornell University, and was Controller for Broome Community College for the prior twenty-one years, both in upstate New York. Alan has an MBA from the University of Chicago, and Bachelors in Accounting from Binghamton University. He is also Certified Public Accountant. He has taught Leadership and Organizational Behavior courses, and has professional interests in information technology in higher education.
