Biography

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

I was born in Leon, Guanajuato (Mexico), on August 22nd, 1962. I am married and have 3 sons.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

I am a faculty member (teacher and researcher) at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (Mexico) since 1994. I have worked as an architect in Canada where I was part of a team responsible for the design of King Abdulasis University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In Mexico, I have worked in different architecture offices and at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, I have designed several learning environments.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

I teach different subjects in face to face, blended learning and in on-line courses, to bachelor and graduate programs, as well as courses for faculty members from our university and others.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

- PhD in Anthropic Environment Sciences (2013) where architecture is seen from the point of view of Anthropologic Architecture (Nold Egenter). UAA. Aguascalientes, Ags. Mexico

- Master in Teaching in High Education (2001). UAA. Aguascalientes, Ags. Mexico

- Bachelor in Architecture. La Salle University (1988). Mexico City, Mexico.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

I have participated with posters, papers and as lecturer in Forums, Congresses and Symposiums in Mexico, United States, Canada and Chile. 

RESEARCH PROJECTS:

- An anthropic conflict at higher education institutions in Mexico. Problems and challenges of educational infrastructure for teaching and learning History of Architecture. PhD research. - Analysis of the teaching methods at the architecture studios at the bachelor program in the UAA.
