Biography

Alicia Burns, Ed.D. is a full-time assistant professor at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s in human resources, and a doctorate in educational leadership. After working in corporate America for many years, she now chairs the business division at her institution. Her passion for lifelong learning drives her current projects - writing a guide for new college adjuncts, researching psychological safety in higher education, and teaching doctoral courses on the side.
