Alisa Whitt

Biography

Alisa J. Whitt is the Academic Resources Coordinator for Pascal, the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries. Alisa joined Pascal in 2005 to help implement a statewide physical union catalog. For 13 years Alisa was a tenured librarian at the College of Charleston, where she managed digital reference services and, in Academic Computing, lead a team who introduced WebCT and provided discipline-specific information technology leadership for faculty. Alisa had an early role in Emory University’s information technology leadership, working with faculty to use gopher, telnet, and in the early 1990’s. Alisa was a 2000 Fellow of the Frye Leadership Institute, and holds an MLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
