Biography

Responsible for the leadership, planning, development, sponsorship, and execution of digital transformation initiatives for Sonoma State University that enable automation, digital insights, and self-service capabilities.  In the absence of the CIO, the Associate CIO serves in those capacities on behalf of the university. The role manages and actively participates in various university governance structures and committees including Information Technology Advisory Group to facilitate transparency and garner stakeholder support. The position leads the Project Management Office (PMO) with the strategic goal of improving the consistency and efficiency of Information Technology’s project delivery. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and implementing various administrative and technical IT projects that can offer increased efficiencies, enhanced customer/student satisfaction, and/or significant cost savings. The incumbent is expected to work closely with students, faculty, and administration from all areas across the University to develop standards as well as short and long-term goals as it relates to the University’s administrative applications.
