Biography

Americo Cunha, Ph.D., has been a full-time faculty member at Sheridan College's Pilon School of Business in Ontario, Canada, since 2012, teaching supply chain and project management to postgraduate students. He combines extensive teaching experience with a prior career as a project manager and business analyst in IT and telecommunications at major enterprises. His doctoral research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro explored socio-cultural factors in international IS projects — the same analytical lens now applied to AI-mediated learning. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Western University focused on disaster response workflow simulation. His publications include work on business process modelling, workflow systems, and emergency management. His current research involves developing the Kolb × Bloom Diagnostic Matrix, which classifies AI use as scaffolding or substitution across learning stages and cognitive levels.
