Biography

Amie Runk loves her role as the Portfolio Manager with the CourseGateway team at EDUCAUSE. She enjoys working directly with a team of amazing colleagues, including our CourseGateway staff, Product Advisory Board, Governance Board, Student Advisory Committee, and Product reviewers with the overarching goal to expand the use of high-quality and affordable digital learning products for gateway courses. 

Prior to her work with EDUCAUSE, Amie had over a decade of experience in Student Affairs at Florida State University (FSU). As Program Manager for the FSU Askew Student Life Center (ASLC), she was instrumental in orchestrating a diverse array of events that catered to the university's dynamic student body. She supervised and advised large teams of dedicated students for Programs (Student Life Cinema, ASLC Gaming, and Special Events), Promotions (Advertising, Content, Social Media, and Video Production), and Operations (Concessions, AV, Managers, and Research).

Amie is also a graduate of Florida State University, with a Master of Science in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Studies and Creative Writing.

Amie's dedication to her profession has been recognized through various awards, including the 2022 Mover and Shaker Award and the 2021 Gabor Superior Accomplishment Award from the FSU Division of Student Affairs.
