Amy Sugar

Biography

Amy Sugar is currently an Instructional Technologist at Rollins College. She helps faculty integrate technology into their courses, assists with the design and development of blended courses, and serves as the system admin for Blackboard and Canvas. Prior to working at Rollins College, Amy was an Instructional Designer in the University of Central Florida's (UCF) Center for Distributed Learning where she assisted faculty with the design, development, and delivery of online courses. Amy earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Florida State University and minored in Spanish. She taught elementary music for over 11 years in Orange County (FL) Public Schools. In addition, she earned National Board Certification and designed, delivered professional development training, and participated on curriculum writing teams. In 2007 she earned a Masters degree in Educational Technology from UCF. Her online teaching and learning research interests include mobile learning, accessibility, universal design, and digital textbooks.
