Ana Thompson

Biography

Ana is an Academic & Access Technologist who works with staff, faculty and students to provide a great and inclusive experiences and strategize the use of technology tools, thus promoting digital fluency. Ana has extensive experience with accessilbity,  Learning Management Systems, WCAG 2.1, adult learning, Copyright and Fair Use, Universal Design, and finding innovative ways to use old and new tools.

One of Ana's passions is teaching others to create authentic accessible and inclusive experiences online or in the face-to-face enviroment. This includes content, presentation, conversations, as well as the management of implicit biases.

Prior to UW Bothell, Ana was an Instructional Design Consultant at Boise State University, the Director of Distance Education at Casper College, WY and an Instructional Technologist at Idaho State University.

Ana holds a Masters degree in Information Systems, a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems and Management, and an Associate's degree in Computer Science. She also holds certifications in Adobe Accessible PDF Training and IAAP's Accessibility Core Concepts.
