Biography

Dr. Andrea Gregg is the Director of Online Pedagogy and Credentialing for Penn State’s Department of Mechanical Engineering. She leads the instructional design of the online offerings, coordinates the microcrentialing and badging efforts, and is responsible for the integration of innovations in teaching and learning throughout the department. She has worked in higher education for over 20 years and previous roles include serving as the Associate Director of Research for Penn State’s World Campus and managing an instructional design team. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in online, blended, and face-to-face formats and currently teaches online in the graduate program for Learning, Design, and Technology. Current research areas include adaptive learning, social performance visualization, and learner experiences in online graduate programs. She has published and presented widely in the fields of educational technology, online learning, and distance education.
