Andrea Tanner is the Director of Enterprise Support for the Division of Information Technology at Eastern Michigan University. She oversees the Help Desk, Directory Assistance, and Instructional Technology areas. Andrea's Help Desk team is responsible for walk-up, phone, email, and in-person customer service. The team also provides user support for classrooms and computer labs. The Instructional Technologists provide faculty support services.
Andrea's experience includes implementing Help Desk service level expectations, managing the annual campus computer refresh program, Security Awareness educational activities, and participating in the Crisis Communication and Disaster Response Planning groups. She has a special interest in leveraging personality typing to motivate and foster a productive work environment. Andrea is an apt communicator who focuses on common ground when solving complex problems.
Andrea is certified in ITIL v3 Foundations and received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Oakland University.
