Biography
Maurice Simpkins has worked as with Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague ERP software since 2007, when he began with Kishwaukee College as a programmer analyst. He has since built his knowledge base and polished skillset within Colleague, working with higher education institutions to complete projects from Importing Test Scores to Online Admissions Letters in WebAdvisor. Maurice began consulting with Colleague in 2009 before becoming employed with Ferrilli Information Group.
Maurice has experience with all Colleague Applications, most extensively in the ST and CORE Applications. He works comfortably within Colleague Studio as well as the Toolkit development platforms. Maurice has created custom WebAdvisor processes for clients, as well as maintained screens and subroutines that were Ellucian delivered. Maurice has experience with Entrinsik Informer, Crystal Reports reporting tools as well as creating Custom Envision Reports to compose data reports from Colleague.
Aside from his vast knowledge in Colleague, Maurice’s most valuable asset is his ability to work with clients and users from an idea’s inception through creation and delivery of the finished product. He is a natural lead in meetings and serves as Project Manager and liaison between Colleague users and IT personnel for many clients. Maurice is very personable and deadline driven, which has been received well in interactions with clients in various settings.
Maurice was signed to the Green Bay Packers of the NFL in 2010, and later ended up with the St. Louis Rams. After a short stint as a professional athlete, Maurice returned to his passion of Higher Education IT Consulting. Maurice continues to use the work ethic and leadership skills garnered in the world of professional sports, in his approach to consulting. Maurice’s proven track record of success would make him a great asset to any higher education Information Technology department.
