Andy Ortstadt

Biography

Andy Ortstadt joined Washington University in St. Louis in July 2006 as Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Services and Technology. In this role, Andy is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for information technology for the University. He also provides leadership to the University Information Services and Technology organization which is responsible for the University’s administrative computing functions, student technology services and core data network. Andy has over 25 years experience developing systems and leading technology organizations. Prior to joining Washington University, he was Chief Information Officer for Von Hoffmann Corporation in St. Louis. Von Hoffmann was a leading manufacturer of books and is now part of R.R. Donnelley. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Information Systems for Moore Corporation in Chicago, a $2 billion provider of printed and electronic document solutions for business. His experience in corporate roles follows a career with Andersen Consulting where he led complex system development and business process reengineering efforts for clients in a wide range of industries.
