Andrew White

Biography

Andrew W. White currently serves as the Caleb T. Winchester University Librarian at Wesleyan University, where he is responsible for all library, archives, and special collections functions.

Andrew completed a 19 year career at Bates College as the Interim Vice President for Information & Library Services and College Librarian.  His portfolio of responsibilities includes all campus IT functions, library and archive services, budget management, strategic and operational planning, and oversight of 65 FTE.  

Prior to assuming the interim role, Andrew was Director of Academic and Client Services responsible for curricular and research computing, desktop support, help desk services, media development, classroom technology, student computing facilities, technology instruction, and campus-wide event support.

A graduate of the 2013 Leading Change Institute and the 2005 Learning Technology Leadership Program, Andrew has also served as Board Chair of NERCOMP (an Educause partner) and has served as a faculty member for the Educause/NERCOMP Managers Workshop Series. Andrew completed an MA in literature and an MLS, both from Indiana University, along with a BA in English from SUNY Buffalo. Prior to Bates, he held positions in libraries and computing at Connecticut College and Indiana University.
