Biography

Andy has been both a Senior IT Analyst and a Systems Administrator at Duke University since December 2011.  Previous to that, Andy spent 12 years as Assistant Head of Library Systems at UNC-Chapel Hill after earning his MS from the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) at UNC-CH and a brief stint at the NC State University Libraries.

Andy has spent the last 22 years working with information architecture, data security and management, systems engineeering, database design, networking, IT security, identity management, and compliance.  He is often tasked with communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders and with providing vision, leadership, creativity, and project management on cross-functional teams.
