Angela Jackson

Biography

In my current role as Digital Accessibility Coordinator at the University of South Dakota, I help oversee the accessibility of all the university's digital spaces and EIT. I completed my doctorate in educational administration and leadership in May 2023. The title of my research dissertation is "Closing the Digital Divide: Understanding Approaches to Digital Accessibility in Higher Education." I have been working in higher education for over fifteen years and in adult education and educational technology for over twenty years. I have an M.Sc. degree in Technology for Education and a B.Sc. in Information Systems. My research focus is evaluating centralized approaches to digital accessibility in higher education and applying conceptual frameworks for implementing digital accessibility campus-wide.
