Biography

Dr. Angela Velez-Solic is an experienced leader in the field of online learning and educational technology. She spent the first part of her 20+ year career in higher education in the classroom as an educator, and then began teaching online in 2005. In 2007, she started full time work in faculty development, support, and training. She has trained thousands of faculty members from all over the world to teach online and that is one of her greatest joys. She combines her significant experience as an educator, instructional designer, instructional technologist, and leader in her current role at Rush. She has a B.A. in English & Education, a M.A. in English, and a Ph.D. in Education. She developed and is the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation at Rush University in Chicago.
