Biography

Angelo Santabarbara is the Chief Information Officer at Siena University. He joined Siena in 2012 as Director of Networks & Systems and has also served as the University’s Information Security Officer. In these roles, Angelo has led the design, modernization, and secure operation of enterprise technology services that support the University’s academic, administrative, and research missions.

As CIO, Angelo provides strategic leadership across infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and IT service delivery, with a focus on reliability, sustainability, and user experience in a higher education environment. He is committed to aligning technology initiatives with institutional priorities, strengthening security and resiliency, and fostering collaborative partnerships across campus.

Angelo currently serves on Siena’s Governance Committee, Information Security Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Data Retention Committee. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
