Anita Delahay

Biography

Dr. Delahay is Head of Learning Science at Argos Education, a startup that will disrupt the textbook industry by enabling educators to adopt courseware created at colleges and universities (rather than by commercial textbook publishers) through the creation of a buy/sell marketplace where instructors can find and share materials and tools with which to build their courses.  She earned a doctorate in learning science and cognitive psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, where her research focused on knowledge prerequisites to undergraduates’ learning and instructional design features that correlate with successful performance in large, online courses. Previously, Dr. Delahay spent over fifteen years as a product developer at Laureate Education, Connections Academy, and Blackboard. As an Executive Director at Laureate, she led teams building engaging online learning experiences focused on nontraditional student success and implemented innovative digital learning models and technologies.
