Ann Blackman

Biography

Ann W. Blackman is the Executive Director Technology Support for Collin College, McKinney TX. She oversees the productivity and functioning of the technology support teams, comprised of 5 Technology Services departments with 100+ staff: Campus Technology, eLearning Centers, Help Desk, Virtual Engineering/ Software Services, and LMS/ WebServices.

She holds an MS degree in Computer Education & Cognitive Systems, from the College of Information at the University of North Texas. Post graduate work includes completing UNT’s Graduate Academic Certificate of Community College Leadership.

Remaining firmly entrenched in both digital learning design and technology services in her position at Collin College, she creates roadmaps and strategies that support digital transformation and assures delivery of high-quality technical support services to students, faculty, and staff.

She has served EDUCAUSE as the co-facilitator of two DLS QuickTalks, the DLS Framework working group, as well as co-presenter of the “Digital Learning Strategy: Current Practices and a Guide for the Future” session at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, Denver, Colorado, October 26, 2022.
