Biography
Aprille Clarke is the head Course Management Systems administrator for the University of Iowa. She has played a large role in the university's adoption of a single Course Management System, transitioning away from supporting both WebCT and Blackboard and toward implementing Desire2Learn university-wide. The CMS Selection Project (of which Desire2Learn was the outcome) now serves as a model for other projects, having been based on a community-driven decision process. Aprille also developed the Student Instructional Technology Assistants program, in which graduate and undergraduate students are matched with an underserved academic units to provide intensive technology support. Aprille holds an MFA in Comparative Literature--Translation from the University of Iowa.
