Biography
Ashley L. Dockens, PhD, AuD, CCC-A, is the Associate Provost of Academic Innovation and Digital Learning at Lamar University, where she drives academic innovation, excellence, and development through policy, guidance, and support. She leads all university AI initiatives, ensuring ethical and effective AI integration, and is a sought-after speaker on generative AI. Dr. Dockens chairs the international AI Taskforce for the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders and serves on prominent Texas and national advisory councils. She also consults with universities, schools, businesses, and community groups on AI training and policy/procedure/guideline development.
