Bao Johri

Biography

Bao Johri is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at California State University, Fresno, where she serves over 25,000 students and 1,500 faculty and staff. She also serves as an Executive IT Consultant, providing leadership, vision, and oversight to the Information Technology Division at California State University, Stanislaus.

Dr. Johri began her tenure with California State University in 2018 at Sacramento State. She initially served as Senior Director of Planning and Strategic Planning, where she led the Project Management and Change Management Office. Subsequently, she assumed the role of Deputy CIO, driving organizational change and measurable outcomes.

Dr. Johri's professional journey is a testament to her versatility and adaptability. With over 20 years of experience, she has served as an elementary school teacher, a community college instructor, and an IT manager in various industries, including real estate, educational publishing and services, and utilities. This diverse background has equipped her with a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge.

Dr. Johri's academic qualifications are a testament to her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. She holds a Doctoral Degree in educational leadership, a Master of Business Administration, a Multiple Subjects Credential, and a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Sacramento. These qualifications, coupled with her extensive experience, make her a valuable asset in any professional setting.

Dr. Johri serves on advisory boards including but not limited to WASC Senior College & University Commission Advisory Committee, Accessibility Technology Initiative, The President's Advisory Committee on Disabilities and Access (PACDA), President's Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Leadership Council, President's Southeast Asian Student Success Task Force, Fresno State Strategic Planning Steering Committee Members.
