Biography
Barbara Kunkle is the Director of the Teaching and Learning Center and Co-Coordinator of the Ohio Learning Network Southeast Regional Center @ Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. Recent initiatives have included start-up activities in the new Centers (opened 2006) and active roles in Shawnee State's 20/20 Futures Committees and Strategic Planning Committee, where she is developing cross-campus collaborations for digital literacy standards for students and faculty, workshops for technology learning for faculty and staff, and proposals for software, hardware, and training investments needed to address the needs of today's students and tomorrow's workplace. She completed a Ph.D. in American Culture Studies at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and teaches American literature, literary theory and Appalachian Studies.
