Biography

My name is Barb Stevens. I am an instructional technology project specialist with Grand Valley State University located in Allendale, Michigan. I’ve been working in online education since 1999. I started back when we used dial-up for connectivity. I have witnessed many changes in online education over the years and all of it good! I’ve worked for several different colleges and universities. My experiences include teaching business and computer courses online, instructional design, training, and managing faculty. I write a lot of knowledge base articles and supervise the graduate assistants, who manage our Blackboard help desk on campus. I think of myself as a jack of all trades, master of none. I bring many micro skillsets to the table!
