Barbara Ozog

Biography

Barbara T. (Grabowski) Ozog returned to a faculty role in Fall Semester 2024 after serving as associate dean and interim dean of the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Business for the last several years. She has been a member of the faculty at Benedictine since July 1992.

Her teaching interests include analytical tools for management decisions (both undergraduate and graduate), computer organization and architecture, decision support and knowledge-based systems, electronic commerce, computer fraud, as well as strategic information technology management. She has also taught information systems security, computer programming, and application development methodologies. She has taught in-person as well as online asynchronous and synchronous, full-semester and eight-week terms.

She has served in a number of leadership roles at Benedictine, including Rank and Tenure Committee (member and chair), Technology Advisory Committee (member), Academic Council (member), Graduate Curriculum and Standards Committee (member and chair), College Faculty Review Panels (chair and member), and Faculty Search Committees (member), and General Education Curriculum Committee (member). She also served as a reader on several dissertation committees for students in Organization Development and in Education.

She is a reviewer for several academic journals, including Journal of Information Technology EducationJournal of Computer Information Systems, and Journal of Information Systems Management.

She has lived in and around Chicago all her life. She earned her  undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science at Loyola University Chicago and her master's and doctoral degrees in industrial engineering and management sciences at Northwestern University. She has also taught at Loyola University Chicago and DePaul University.
