Bill Vriesema has been involved with technical support for 23 years, the past 15 years serving as the Associate Director of the Service Desk for Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He currently directs the efforts of the Service Desk which involves managing the HelpDesk Support Center, hardware and software deployment, account provisioning, lab and smart spaces support, as we well as support for network and telecommunications services. He has 6 direct reports and 40 student employees to assist in these efforts.
Bill has given presentations to various audiences on a variety of topics such as Training and Career Development for Front-line support, HelpDesk design, Interpersonal skills, Evolution of Support Skills, and Digital Photography.
Bill is the past President of the West MI Chapter of HDI, and is a member of the HDI Higher Education Forum. He holds a BA in Organizational Leadership from Cornerstone University.
